I am self employed and run my own business, and this is something I've been doing for just under ten years now. In terms of work, because my business is entirely digital, I don't really have to work from any particular spot, but can be fairly free in terms of where to live. In my spare time I enjoy making music, reading books, going on trips, hiking, doing martial arts (on hold for the moment, but starting up again in a few weeks), hanging out with friends, watching good movies and wasting time mindlessly online (yes it happens).
